Adding and Registering a Remote User
Overview
To register remotely, complete the following:
Install the Galaxy Custody Mobile app on the user's device.
Create the user on the cold vault. This must be done by an admin located at the cold vault while the cold vault is connected to the proxy.
Assign the new user to an appropriate user group.

The mobile app must be installed on the user's device to successfully register the user.
Cold Vault Remote User Creation and Registration
Log in to the main cold vault as a cold vault administrator.
Go to the User Management tab and click Add new user. The User Setup window opens.
Fill out the following for the remote user:
- First Name
- Last Name
Select MPC user.
Click OK. A verification window appears.
Input the verification code from the user's mobile app and click OK.
The Continue registration for the user window opens.
The user taps the + button on the app’s home screen and select Remote register to Cold.
The Remote register to Cold screen will appear along with a long string of characters. This string is the application's key.
Select the Share Key option. The mobile device will display all valid messaging services as a means of sharing the key.
The key is sensitive information. Only share it via an end-to-end encrypted messaging service. A short list of such services can be read at https://www.tomsguide.com/reference/best-encrypted-messaging-apps .
Select a service on the user's mobile device, then send the key to the admin at the cold vault.
The admin at the cold vault inputs the key into the Enter the Public Key field on the cold vault and clicks Continue.
The user selects Enter IP on their mobile device, types the Mandatory Cosigner (MCS) IP, and presses OK.
The user is successfully registered.
The admin needs to add the user to the appropriate user group before they can perform any transactions. If you use the Custody Infrastructure solution in MPC-driven mode, you must separately assign the new user to their respective Role/Group on the MPC.
