Addresses and Address Groups
Addresses
Addresses refer to the blockchain addresses stored in the Custody Infrastructure system. The addresses are sorted into three classes:
- Authorized: Authorized addresses are those that meet the organization's policies and requirements. Once authorized, funds can be forwarded to an address directly by the system. In order to become authorized, a change request needs to be opened for the administrator to review the address information and compare it with the organization's rules and policies. Authorized addresses are also referred to as "saved contacts" or "approved addresses".
- Internal: Internal addresses are owned by the organization. As such, they are managed on external custodial wallets and not by the Custody Infrastructure platform. Limits are not applied to transactions sent between two internal addresses.
- System: These are the addresses of the Cold Vault and of the MPC and cannot be changed or removed. Each account set in the system has two system addresses: one managed by the Cold Vault and another one managed by the MPC.
View Addresses
View the addresses that are currently saved in the system by opening the Addresses screen from the left side navigation menu, and then opening the Addresses tab at the top of the screen.
Hovering on a row displays buttons for editing and deleting the address. The following information is displayed:
- Name: The identifying name.
- Address: The blockchain address. Click on the QR code button for the QR code to be displayed.
- Groups: The groups that the address has been assigned to.
- Currencies: The currencies defined for the address.
There is an option on the dashboard to present only policy-enabled contacts.

Adding a New Address to the Allowlist
Click the + button at the top right corner of the screen.
Choose whether to add an address or a validator.

Only select Validator if you are adding a destination you will be staking to.
In the window that opens, input the following:
- Name: A name for the address. For security and usability purposes, use a well-established naming convention that will allow all users to recognize and correctly use the address. A name can be up to 60 characters long.
- Internal/Authorized: Specify if the address is internal to the system or has been authorized. An internal address is owned by the organization and managed on external custodial wallets and not inside of the current Custody Infrastructure platform. An authorized address has been checked by an administrator to meet organization policies and requirements.
- Currency: Choose the currency from the drop-down list. The system supports using one currency per contact.
- Address: The address that is associated with the contact. Standard blockchain addresses are comprised of a hexadecimal string of numbers and characters.
Optionally, assign the address to an address group by clicking the + button of the group.
Click Add Contact.
Adding multiple addresses
To add multiple addresses, repeat the process as many times as needed, and then wait for the approval process to complete.
Rejecting individual addresses in approval process
An administrator who receives a request to approve multiple new addresses can reject and delete specific contacts without cancelling the entire request.
In the Requests tab, select the contact approval request. The Administrative changes request page opens.
Select the Delete Contacts button. A delete icon button displays next to each row.

Select the Delete button for any contacts to remove from the request. The row turns red and the Number of contacts to delete displays at the bottom of the page.

To revoke this action, select Undo delete.
Select the Confirm delete and approve button.
The request is approved and the other approvers receive an update, and the row now lists the item as Deleted.
The Cancel request appears at the bottom to cancel the original request for approval of all new contacts.

Address Groups
Grouping addresses makes it easy to use multiple addresses together in transactions. Each address can belong to only one address group.
Only an Administrator can create Address groups.
View Address Groups

Hovering on a row displays buttons for editing and deleting the group.
