Audit
The Audit page displays a searchable log of all the activities that have occurred on the Impenetrable Vault. This includes logins, transaction requests, approvals, user account changes, configuration updates, and other system events. Each row in the table represents one audit record.
Use the filters in the top row to refine your search and narrow down what you want to see by date range, account, login name, and action performed.
The search results can be exported to the Proxy MPC desktop. The audit data is not exported to the machine that runs the Impenetrable Vault.
The Audit page
The top row contains the main, editable search parameters.
The main section of the page is the Audit results table that displays search results each time a new search is run.
Two export options are available below the audit results table. They are:
- Export All - exports the current search results to the Proxy MPC desktop.
- Auto Export - to automate audit file generation at a regular time interval set by the user.
The Audit table
Each row in the audit table represents one audit record and has the following columns:

Audit table data is read-only and cannot be edited.
Search filters
The top row lets you set the search parameters by changing the settings for each drop-down field.
Set any combination of filters, and then select Run.
The search parameters are:
- From / To (date pickers) - The date range to search. By default the date range is set from the first day of the current month through today.
The two date pickers are linked to ensure that the range always stays valid. If you set From later than To, the To parameter jumps forward to match, and vice versa.
- Account - Drop-down list of all Impenetrable Vault accounts.
- Login Name - Drop-down list of all users who are allowed to log in to the Impenetrable Vault.
- Action - Drop-down list of every possible Impenetrable Vault action type, sorted alphabetically.
- Show - How many records to return. Options are 500 or 1000.
- Run - Executes the query using the current filters and refreshes the table. Nothing changes in the table until you press this.
Export the Audit data
Beneath the Audit data table are the two options for exporting the audit data. They are:
- Export All - Sends the currently displayed audit records to the Proxy MPC desktop. When the export succeeds, the following confirmation message appears: "New Cold Vault audit records sent to Mandatory Cosigner".
This button is disabled when there are no records to display in the current results.
- Auto Export - Opens a configuration window to schedule the export automatically instead of manually performing it each time.
The Export feature only sends the data to the Proxy MPC desktop and does not save the data to a local file.
Configure Auto Export
To set up an automated data export:
Select Auto Export .
The Auto Audit Export window opens.
Select the Enable checkbox.
The time settings become available.
Use the arrows to set the export interval in minutes, hours, days, and weeks.
Select OK.
Alternatively, the data can also be exported from MPC Settings > Export Cold Definitions.
Download the audit file from the Desktop
The audit file is sent to the Proxy MPC desktop. The details of the audit export are logged in the Proxy MPC desktop Settings menu under the Audit tab.
The view the audit file, downloaded the file using the download icon at the top right side of the Audit tab.
The Save file window opens and the audit file can be saved to any location in your computer system.
